about
So I had this twenty year old recording lying around of my song "Dead Teddy Bear," having sequenced it years before on my old Yamaha keyboard and later adding vocals at a friend's studio. But I always wanted to hear what the song would sound like "heavier," like what if you added actual bass, drums and guitars? So I gave it to the amazing Jeffrey Lee and asked him to go there. Turn it up!

lyrics
dead teddy bear
bad bad karma baby
you shoulda stayed on your home planet girl
and don't be bringin' me that fairy tale
where the good people win in the end
i got the feelin' there's something you're concealin'
dead teddy bear
face down in the street
dead teddy bear
incomplete you're missin' one of your feet
dead teddy bear
so much for 1972
when somebody dropped a bomb
size of the world on you
bad bad news in the paper
martin and bobby just a memory
and all around the light is faltering
will the good people win in the end
eyes of the world on you
so so sad losing the neighborhood
i keep a poster on my bedroom wall
my lai is running from the pepsi plant
my lai is running to the shopping mall
did the chevy stall
i got the feelin' that's something you're concealin'
chorus
keep on a'groovin'
the baby isn't movin'
inside the burning window
you gonna keep on dancin'
mamma told you not to cry
but how you gonna survive out there
without your teddy bear
the fireman finds the baby
still clutching something in her tiny hand
you reminisce about that fairy tale
where the good people win in the end
good people
i got the feelin' there's got to be some healin'
